1. Power—Turns set-top on or off
2. Video and Audio Input (Not active)
3. List—Displays the list of recorded programs
4. Exit—Exits menus, the on-screen guide, and
program information
5. Info—Displays a description of the selected
program
6. Guide—Accesses on-screen services
7. IR Sensor—Receives the infrared signal from
the remote control
8. LED Display—Displays the selected chan-
nel number, time of day, message indicator,
power, output resolution, and record light
9. VOL- and VOL+ —Increases or decreases
volume
10. CH- or CH+ —Scrolls up or down through
the available channels
11. Select—Provides access to your on-screen
selection
12. Smart Card Slot (Not active)
13. USB—High-Speed peripheral device con-
nection (Not active)
1. Cable In—Connect via coax cable to wall
outlet
2. Cable Out—Connect to cable input of TV,
DVD recorder or VCR
3. YPbPr Out—Connect to an HDTV via com-
ponent cables
4. Digital Audio Out—Connect an RCA cable
to send a digital audio signal to a surround
sound receiver or other digital audio device
5. Secondary Video and Audio Out—Connect
to either a DVD recorder or VCR for archiving
saved content or to another set of inputs
(composite) on your HDTV
6. Audio Out—Connect RCA cables to send
analog audio signals to a stereo receiver or
HDTV
7. Optical Audio Out—Connect an optical
cable to an external digital surround-sound
receiver or other digital audio device
8. S-Video Out—Connect to S-Video input of
TV, DVD recorder or VCR
9. HDMI—Connect the HDTV HDMI™ connec-
tor to the HDMI port
10. IR Port (Reserved for future use)
11. SATA Connector (Not active)
12. IEEE-1394—Audio and Video device connec-
tion (Not active)
13. AC Switched Outlet—Connect the AC pow-
er cord from another device, such as a TV
14. AC Power Input—Connect to an AC electri-
cal outlet
